Church's " Rider (RYDER) " is synonymous with Bond's casual shoes!

Church’s ” Rider 3 ” combines functionality and sharp looks with a dynamite sole!

While the Rider has a crepe sole, the Rider 3 has a Dynaite sole. The uneven sole provides excellent grip and shuts out moisture, making it suitable for all weather conditions. Although the sole is uneven, it is flat on the outside, making the foot look sharper than the crepe sole model.

Incidentally, strictly speaking, a Dainite sole is a rubber sole produced by the ” Dainite ” brand of the British company Halborough Rubber, and a sole of this shape is officially called a studded sole. The sole of the Rider features Goodyear welt outstitching and the Church’s brand logo stamped on it.

For casual wear, this is the one! Church’s “Rider” with crepe sole offers cushioning and softness!

The original ” Rider ” uses a crepe sole. While ordinary rubber soles are made of synthetic rubber derived from petroleum, crepe soles are made of latex, a natural rubber made primarily from the sap of the rubber tree. It is also a familiar sole for casual leather shoes, and is the standard sole for chukka boots and desert boots, including riders. The biggest difference between a regular rubber sole and a crepe sole is comfort. Crepe soles offer superior cushioning and flexibility, and have a unique resilience not found in other soles such as leather soles and dynamite soles.

However, there are many disadvantages associated with natural rubber, such as reduced grip in the rain. In particular, they are very slippery on wet slopes, so care must be taken. Also, because natural rubber is the main raw material, it is weak against petroleum solvents, and highly volatile substances such as gasoline may melt the rubber if they adhere to it. It is also susceptible to heat, so walking on asphalt in the summer when the sun is strong can cause it to melt or feel sticky. Despite its many disadvantages, it has many fans because it has excellent shock absorption and does not tire after long hours of walking, and it continues to be used even today, despite its old manufacturing method.
