Military jacket representative model 5: “B-10
The B-10, the first cloth flight suit, was introduced in 1943 at the end of World War II, when leather was the mainstream, but the growing demand for leather led to a shortage of leather and increased costs, which in turn led to the development of cotton jackets that could be mass-produced. However, since the jacket is designed to be worn in the intermediate zone (-10~10 degrees Celsius), alpaca wool is used for the lining, which provides excellent heat retention. Another appealing point is that it is easier to move around in compared to leather.
B-10 recommended item ” BUZZ RICKSON’S B-10
Brown is the most common mouton color for the B-10, but there were several contractors that used natural-colored mouton collars like this one. The company that faithfully reproduced this color is Buzz Lixons, a proudly Japanese military wear brand. The appeal of this item is that it looks cleaner than brown and contrasts well with the body.
B-10 recommended item ” STUSSY B-10 Bore Fleece
Stussy” is a street brand with a history of over 35 years. We picked up a model based on the B-10 with Stussy’s unique essence. Normally, cotton is used for the outer layer, but this model is made of wool and lined with a boa fleece to give it a West Coast taste. The minimalist look and monotone color make it easy to match with any outfit.
