The dial is made of enamel, which is a glassy glaze baked onto a metal surface, under the supervision of Mitsuru Yokozawa, one of the few craftsmen in Japan who possesses this technique. Seiko Presage Recommended Model (2) “SARX057

This is the first model that uses titanium. The titanium material is gentle to the skin, and even people with metal allergies find it comfortable to wear. Skilled craftsmen polish titanium, which is difficult to process, to flatten the metal surface, giving it a high-quality surface that is useful in business settings. Seiko Presage Recommended Model 3: “SARX061

Arita-yaki, Japan’s first ceramic ware, was created in 1616 in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture, and was initially made from a bluish white material called oak (Isubai). The dial of the “SARX061” watch, which uses oak ash, has red indexes reminiscent of ceramic painting. This is a design inherited from the “Laurel,” one of Seiko’s most famous models.
