BLANCK to Hold Pop-up Tour at Hankyu Men's Osaka & Tokyo

BLANCK, which develops masculine items based on the concept of extracting the primitive charm of bags, will hold a pop-up tour at Hankyu Men’s Osaka and Tokyo.

Up-and-coming brand “BLANCK” attracts attention with its unique presence

BLANCK is an apparel brand launched in 2017 S/S with Takuzo Ohtani of MASTER PLAN as its director. The brand name “BLANCK” is a coined word that combines “Black (black / shadow)” and “Blank (white / blank). Aiming for a style that freely moves between street, mode, and business scenes, the brand constructs a masculine worldview while employing a variety of materials such as denim and corduroy.

After working as a designer for a number of apparel brands, Takuzo Otani studied under Takahiro Miyashita in 2003, and after working as an atelier general manager at NUMBER(N)INE for seven years, he participated in the establishment of Ron Herman’s men’s division. BLANCK has developed an appealing collection in a style that reveals the “icon (prototype) of the bag” by trimming away excess elements and leaving only the good parts based on Otani’s own experience with a background in fashion. BLANCK continues to offer new collections each season, establishing its own unique style by incorporating JAPAN Made “monozukuri” into the details of its products against the backdrop of users’ own lifestyles such as “bicycles,” “cars,” “travel,” and “business. BLANCK continues to make new proposals each season.

BLANCK” will present its remarkable collection at both Tokyo and Osaka venues.

In this pop-up tour, visitors will be able to experience the latest styles proposed by BLANCK at both Osaka and Tokyo venues. Hankyu Men’s Osaka will feature the popular new bag collection, while Tokyo will offer a variety of items from the apparel collection for pre-sale. In addition, to commemorate the pop-up, original glass holders will be given away to the first 50 customers who make a purchase during the pop-up period. The Japanese-made and minimalist worldview proposed by this up-and-coming brand is well worth a visit.
