American Express will introduce a “Mirror Design” with a mirror-like shine to the “Platinum Card®” and the “American Express® Business Platinum Card” for a limited time.The application period runs from 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, through Monday, February 1, 2027, and existing members can also switch to this design.

The “Platinum Card” and “American Express Business Platinum Card” with mirror designs, which debuted in the U.S. last September, generated a huge buzz with their innovative, mirror-like finish. Now, as the first launch of this mirror design outside the U.S., these cards are making their debut in Japan.The Mirror Design cards reflect special moments, changing scenery, and even the inner self and lifestyle of the cardholder. They take on different expressions depending on the context—whether personal or business—and serve as a means for each holder to express their unique personality and values.
