In its Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection, STONE ISLAND explores the concept of “landscape.” This is not merely a reference to nature or man-made objects, but is viewed as a fluid entity in which various elements complexly overlap to create new value that transcends the sum of its individual parts.Stone Island also focuses on the very elements that make up this landscape. As in recent collections, the starting point for this season’s creations is the deconstruction of the landscape and the transformation of the extracted elements into garments.At the core is the theme of “Soil,” and elements that evoke a connection to the earth deeply influence the collection’s overall color palette, use of materials, and the contrasts woven from different textures.
The first release in this new collection is the new “LODESTAR” series. Each item is individually treated with a special garment dye using resin and pigments, followed by an enzyme wash. By deliberately fading the color in certain areas, the design creates an uneven, multi-dimensional appearance.Because this process involves elements of chance, no two pieces are exactly alike, and each one has a truly unique finish.
