A traditional craftsman based in Kyoto.As a craftsman specializing in “foil stamping,” primarily on Kyoto-style folding fans, he continually explores the value and identity that traditional crafts can convey in the modern world, and creates and sells products and works based on this philosophy. Since 2009, he has studied under Traditional Craftsman Shinji Yonehara, mastering the foil-stamping techniques for Kyoto folding fans. Currently, he also creates folding fans for general use, applying the foil-stamping techniques traditionally used in the arts and performing arts, such as the tea ceremony and Noh.

As part of the current “Daily Atelier” initiative, the limited-time pop-up event “glo™ Summer Lounge” will be held in Harajuku, Tokyo, from Friday, June 19, 2026, to Sunday, June 28, 2026.Based on the concept “Step away from the heat and the hustle and bustle, just for a little while,” the event features a space inspired by traditional Japanese teahouses, complete with special seating incorporating Japanese paper umbrellas and tatami mats. It offers a place to take a breather amid the urban summer.In addition to a special exhibition of the “glo™ Hilo SUMMER EDITION Designed by Yasuhito Yonehara*1,” the venue will offer refreshments specially selected for this event. Visitors can experience the aesthetic of a Japanese summer alongside the philosophy proposed by “Daily Atelier”: “Art is found in everyday life.”The event is free and open to all smokers aged 20 and older.
