From DESCENTE’s premier line, DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN’s Mizusawa Down, olive beige and nut shell will be available on Friday, August 23 as new colors for standard models such as “MOUNTAINEER” and “ANCHOR. A limited color purple will also be available only at Descente directly-managed stores and official online stores.

In addition to the first generation Mizusawa down jacket “ANCHOR” with an authentic design that was introduced in 2008, the high-spec Mizusawa down model “MOUNTAINEER” was introduced in 2012, and the details have been reviewed from the 2023 model to make it more comfortable and convenient. The lineup includes the oversized “MOUNTAINEER,” which was created in 2022 as a result of a special order from a select store. This season, the lineup will be available in four color variations: standard black and graphite navy, plus two new colors, olive beige and nut shell. Purple is only available at Descente directly-managed stores and official online store.

The “MOUNTAINEER” is a high-spec model of Mizusawa Down with revised details from the 2023 model, while maintaining high water resistance with heat-adhesive non-quilting and seam-tape processing. Storage capacity has been improved by the addition of an inside pocket with a detachable key chain, and ventilation has been improved with dual-zip ventilation that makes full use of mesh fabric. The lining uses DESCENTE’s original heat-retaining material HEAT NAVI(R) to keep the inside of the garment at a comfortable temperature. In addition, various details have been updated, such as the ParaHood system that prevents water from puddling on the hood, in consideration of wearing in bad weather conditions such as rain, as well as the compact stowage of the hood. An oversized model (¥143,000) is also available in the same colors.

ANCHOR” is the first generation of Mizusawa Down and a long-selling model that boasts solid popularity. This model, too, has been updated since 2023, while maintaining the high water resistance of its thermally bonded non-quilted and seam taped fabrication. The specifications for storage capacity, breathability, and lining are the same as those of the ” MOUNTAINEER,” with the major difference being the use of materials for the outer fabric. The outer fabric is made of DERMIZAX(R) MICRO STRETCH, a 4-way stretch material that provides high water resistance and breathability to a down jacket that is generally vulnerable to water.
