TATRAS Opens Flagship Store in Ginza, Japan, and Launches MA-1 Type Limited Down Jacket

TATRAS, known for its luxurious down jackets and other sophisticated urban wear, will hold its first solo store grand opening in Ginza, Tokyo, on Saturday, November 16.

What are the features of the TATRAS Ginza store?

The three-floor store, which stretches from the first basement floor to the second floor above ground, is designed with an interior that combines natural objects such as stone and wood with man-made materials such as concrete and stainless steel, based on the theme of the beauty of contrasts, which also applies to TARATLUS down jackets. The clean and modern store, conscious of the fusion of Italy and Japan that lies behind the brand, will display several one-of-a-kind pieces of Asahi-yaki, a traditional Japanese craft, as well as original fixtures created by considering down jackets as art. The first floor, the main floor, will be a relaxing space with both men’s and women’s items, while the second floor will feature women’s items and the first basement floor will offer a full lineup of men’s items.

To celebrate the opening of the Ginza store, items created in collaboration with an up-and-coming artist active in Paris will also be on sale!

To celebrate the opening of the Ginza store, a collaboration item with Giovanni Leonardo Bassan, an up-and-coming artist active in Paris, will be released. A limited number of reversible jackets made of ” Brude Protein ™︎ ^Fiber*,” a protein fiber developed by Spybar, will be available. The design is based on the Taurus MA-1 down jacket ” OSODO,” with a special design on the outer surface printed with an illustration symbolizing his art. The front side is black and the back side is khaki, making it reversible. The jacket is made of a special blended twill material that combines the bouncy, shiny, silky texture of Brude Protein ™︎ fiber with the warmth of wool. Yarns that are more twisted than usual are densely woven to express a solid texture and luxurious feel. It also has a water-repellent finish, making it an item that is both functional and well-designed.
