Mizusawa Down was created in 2008 as high-functional wear that overcame the weak points of down jackets. MADE TO MEASURE” allows you to order a high-spec standard model Mountaineer from Mizusawa Down!
This service allows customers to customize the Mountaineer, a high-spec standard model of Mizusawa Down, to suit their personal preferences and body shape in terms of color combination of outer and lining fabrics, and size of body width, length, and sleeve length. The procedure is as follows.
(1) Make a reservation at the official DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN website.
(2) Select a color combination of outer and lining fabrics online from a total of six colors, including four special colors.
(3) Measure your own size using the AI measurement application on your PC or smartphone. (Measurements can also be taken in-store during the counseling session at the store.
(4) At a later date, try on size samples and have a counseling session with the staff at DESCENTE BLANC Daikanyama or DESCENTE BLANC Fukuoka for about one hour. The final width, length, and sleeve length will be determined according to the desired fit and wearability.
(5) Patterns for each product are created by pattern makers at DISC OSAKA, Descente’s research and development base, and cut and sewn by craftsmen at the Mizusawa Plant. The name tag will include the “MADE TO MEASURE” logo and a serial number to complete your own special piece of clothing.
(6) The garments will be available for pickup at the stores where counseling was provided in early December.
