Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot unveils its latest creation, the “MP-13 Tourbillon by Axis Retrograde” at Watches & Wonders 2023. The watch is limited to 50 pieces worldwide and will be released in June 2023.

Equipped with two complications such as a bi-axis tourbillon and dual retrograde display
Hublot is one of the few watchmakers that can manufacture a two-axis tourbillon, an exceptional feat of engineering, completely in-house. This tourbillon has two speeds in the same mechanism, one revolution per minute on the first axis and one revolution per 30 seconds on the second axis. The MP-13 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Retrograde presented by Hublot is a unique model that combines two complications in one watch: a two-axis tourbillon and a dual retrograde display. By eliminating the upper bridge and trimming down each part, the tourbillon achieves a floating effect that has never been seen in conventional models. To further enhance the visual effect, the space at 6 o’clock surrounding the tourbillon has been opened up and protected on both sides of the case by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
Hublot’s first bi-retrograde movement designed
This new model features a power reserve of approximately 96 hours (approximately 4 days). Furthermore, while the minute hand moves steadily, the hour hand instantly skips to the next hour when the time changes. This feature prevents the hour hand from pointing to ambiguous positions, making the dial easier to read. Incidentally, this is the first time Hublot has designed a bi-retrograde movement for both hours and minutes.
