Converse introduces “CPD (Converse Protective Design),” a line of protective sneakers that combine safety, durability, and design as defined by JSAA standards. Three models based on the All Star will be available in two colors, black monochrome and black.

This season’s debut model is a high-performance JSAA Class A man-made leather protective sneaker based on the classic All Star
The All Star Protective Design sneakers use Kuraray’s lightweight and durable man-made leather ” CLARINO® ” for the uppers. The sneakers are equipped with high-function specifications, including a built-in hard resin tip, a slip-resistant rubber outsole, a shock-absorbing midsole, and a cup insole for toe protection. To improve visibility during work, reflector material is adopted for the heel portion. Reflector woven laces are also included.

The hard resin toe protection is fully equipped with JSAA Class A impact and pressure resistance. The toe spring is set higher to reduce stumbling, which can be a factor in falls. The adhesive strength of the upper and sole with peel resistance performance also meets JSAA Class A certification standards. The upper is made of CLARINO® material.
The dustproof gusset to prevent the intrusion of fine dust, the breathable W-mesh material tongue, and the ventilation dovecote ensure a comfortable fit.
The lining and insole are anti-bacterial and deodorant treated to prevent odors.
The upper lining and insole employ antibacterial and odor-resistant surface materials. The incorporation of Flector material provides both design and safety.
The ALL STAR PS HI and OX are equipped with a lace pocket for storing tied laces. In addition, the laces are made of cotton-like polyester with excellent abrasion resistance.
The outsole with slip resistance, a JSAA Class A certified additional performance, is an original outsole that focuses on ground and flexibility.

ALL STAR PS V-3 HI
The ALL STAR PS V-3 HI is based on the All Star’s unique toe, ankle patch, and ventilation dove design, with a V-3 pattern for easy on/off. The belt is tightened alternately from the inside and outside for an improved hold.
