SANYOYOSANCHO, a men’s shoe brand operated by SANYO SANYO SHOKAI, has released three new models of its “Prestige Line” on September 23, commonly known as “Shoe Shine Day.

SANYOYAMACHO’s highest grade line now has a supreme new face. These are the three models released this time!

SANYOYAMACHO’s “Prestige Line” was launched in the spring of 2021 as the culmination of the brand’s 20 years in business. The concept of this top-grade series is to “tailor a pair of shoes as close as possible to bispoke shoes (made-to-order shoes),” and everything from the leather to the finishing touches is of the highest quality. The second release in this series uses smooth leather for a more elegant impression, and proposes a new style of top grade shoes. Here are three pairs of the new model at a glance!

SANYOYAMACHO Prestige Line No. 2 ” KINSEI Takumi Ichiro

The “Shoichiro” is a prestige quality version of the “Shoichiro” featuring “Reverso Tailoring,” in which no stitching is exposed on the upper.

The term “Reverso” is derived from the technique of folding back the edges of the leather to hide the stitching. The minimalistic yet three-dimensional upper is appealing. The material used is the finest box calf from “HAAS,” and the “flexible Goodyear welt method,” which enhances flexibility by eliminating the ribbed tape, has been upgraded to the highest level. The triangular-shaped nocked heel on the side of the outsole and the semi-beveled waist that is three-dimensionally narrowed at the foot are details that are unforgettable.

SANYOYAMACHO Prestige Line Vol.2 ” KINZABURO

The “Kinsei Kanzaburo” is a prestige quality version of the “Kanzaburo,” which features a toe design with a U-shaped piece of leather on the instep.

The skin stitching vertically on the toe is a technique of sewing two pieces of leather together without penetrating the surface of the leather, which is 1.several millimeters thick, by inserting the needle at the same depth, so that the stitching rises beautifully on the leather surface. This is a supreme design that offers a glimpse of craftsmanship that cannot be seen with machine stitching.

Based on SANYOYAMACHO’s archives, the “KINSEI SADAKURO” was reissued for the first time in more than 10 years, with a design not found in the regular line. The finest “HAAS” leather is carefully hung and then allowed to acclimate to the wooden form over a long period of time to create the highest quality jodhpurs. The “KINSEI SADAKURO” has a slightly shorter strap design for a more modern look, while the jodhpurs generally have a strap that wraps around the foot. The seamless heel, which is rare for boots, is a dressy tailoring with the heel made of a single piece of leather, and combined with the pitched heel that narrows slightly toward the bottom, the boots are full of elegant atmosphere.
