POPEYE, a men’s fashion magazine published by Magazine House, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in June 2016. To commemorate this event, the 40th anniversary issue of ‘ POPEYE’ will be released on June 10 (Fri. ), with a special supplement containing a complete reprint of the first issue released in 1976.
As the magazine celebrates its 40th anniversary, the issue features all-out coverage of the West Coast of the U.S., the same area that was covered in the first issue 40 years ago. It will be a look at the place that city boys have longed for, both now and in the past. The special supplement, a reprint of the first issue, is a complete reprint of all 198 pages (excluding advertisements) in A4 size, the same size as the original issue. It is also interesting to compare the origin and the present of ‘ POPEYE’ in terms of photos, articles, layout, etc., in different times and fashions.
