UNIQLO launches UT featuring Andy Warhol! Designed by Kosuke Kawamura, a skilled reconstructor

UNIQLO “UT” has released a triple collaboration collection “Andy Warhol×Kosuke Kawamura×UT” themed on Andy Warhol’s works. In this collection, collage artist Kosuke Kawamura reinterprets Warhol’s masterpieces. Many of Warhol’s masterpieces have been reborn as collage art and incorporated into T-shirts. The T-shirts will be available at UNIQLO stores nationwide and at UNIQLO’s official online store from February 8, 2021 (Monday).

From “UT,” where UNIQLO features various artists, characters, and cultures, comes the “Andy Warhol x Kosuke Kawamura x UT” triple collaboration collection based on the works of Andy Warhol. In this work, Warhol’s numerous pop art pieces are reinterpreted by artist Kosuke Kawamura, who has created high-profile works such as the “AKIRA” art wall that appeared on the site of the former Shibuya Parco until 2019. Transformed by Kawamura into collage art, Warhol’s masterpieces, which no one has ever seen before, have been incorporated into the Big Gillette T-shirt.
