Streetwear brand “WIND AND SEA” officially announced that it will release a collaboration down with “NANGA,” a leading domestic down company from the production area of cotton fabrics, from 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2012. We can’t take our eyes off of Mr. Takashi Kumagai, known as an up-and-coming creative director, for his rapid-fire proposals during this year-end and New Year’s holidays.

WIND AND SEA brings the highest quality down to the streets, as it attempts to conquer the “man-eating mountains” of the Himalayas.
His partner NANGA, with whom WIND AND SEA has announced a collaboration, is a down-shelf manufacturer born in 1941 by his predecessor “Akira Yokota” in the production area of Omi cotton bedding. The company’s name is derived from Nanga Parbat, commonly known as “Man-eater Mountain ” in the Himalayas, which has lost many people due to its difficulty in climbing. This is the spirit of the founder, Akira Yokota, “Let’s do it because it’s difficult, let’s climb where no one else climbs.Naturally, NANGA‘s focus is on feathers.NANGA’s expertise in selecting, washing, and managing down, cultivated over many years, has enabled the company to continue producing warmer down products.

The collaboration down is made with NANGA’s famous “AURORA TEX®️”!
For this collaboration, NANGA has introduced items made of “AURORA TEX®”*, which is synonymous with NANGA. The embroidered logos of both brands are placed on the left and right sides of the item, and 150 grams of high-quality Spanish down is lavishly enclosed. The lining is made of soft 40 denier nylon. This is a unisex item that can be worn by a wide range of people. It is available in three colors: black, coyote, and blue, and comes with a logo printed storage bag.
*AURORA TEX® is a nylon fabric with a porous polyurethane waterproof coating that is highly waterproof and vapor breathable.
