Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release the “GW-9400NFST” from its shock-resistant “G-SHOCK” line of watches in collaboration with the Emergency Fire Brigade. The watch will go on sale in July 2020.

G-SHOCK has created the ” GW-9400NFST ” collaboration model to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Emergency Fire Brigade!
The Emergency Firefighting Assistance Corps was established based on the lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995 to enable firefighters from all over Japan to quickly and efficiently carry out rescue operations in the event of a large-scale disaster, regardless of their jurisdiction. The 25th anniversary of the Emergency Firefighting Assistance Squad was the occasion for this collaboration, and G-SHOCK, with its common denominator of “toughness,” wanted to help expand awareness of the organization.
The “GW-9400NFST” was created with the full cooperation of the Emergency Fire Brigade and is designed with the utmost attention to detail.
Since the “GW-9400FBJ” was released in July 2015, the Kobe City Fire Department, which has collaborated with the Sendai City Fire Department on two occasions, joined the Sendai City Fire Department to create the design with the full cooperation of both departments. The “GW-9400NFST” is a special model, the developers of the “G-SHOCK” and the Emergency Firefighting Assistance Squad paying close attention to even the smallest details of coloring. The color scheme is based on the black used in the fire uniforms of the Sendai City Fire Department, with the red of fire engines used as an accent color.
The button ring at 3 o’clock and “SENSOR” are colored in vivid yellow, which is reminiscent of the reflective material used on the fire uniforms. In addition, the belt, which is black on the front and red on the back, is made of a high-strength carbon fiber insert band, and the center of the band is decorated with an illustration of a rope used as a rescue tool.
