Blondie McCoy, a popular skater at PALACE SKATEBOARDS, whose collaborations with Ralph Lauren and Juventus are still fresh in our minds, designed the shoes. He is also the designer of THAMES MMXX, a collaboration with Fred Perry that became a hot topic, and a multi-creator who also has a side as an artist, holding exhibitions and publishing art books. Blondie was inspired by the PVC trench coat seen on the high fashion scene from Margiela, Burberry, and others, and has boldly adopted the classic silhouette of the Superstar with a transparent upper. The black 3-stripes, heel tab, white synthetic leather eyestay, and shoe tongue are well balanced to create a finish that combines the classic look of the original Superstar with a mode atmosphere. The letters “SUPERSTAR” originally placed in gold on the upper have been changed to “BLONDEY,” a design that is unique to this collaboration.
