What is cable knit?
Cable knit” refers to all knitwear with a “cable knitting” (rope-like knitting) technique. The gauge used to measure the size of the knit is basically middle to low gauge, which is knitted roughly. Since this type of knit has a high design and presence, it can be worn as a single piece to elevate an outfit.
Cable knits have a three-dimensional feel and contain a lot of air, which makes them highly warming. Cable knits are often seen in “fisherman’s sweaters,” which are traditional garments from England, Ireland, France, and other countries, and have a well-established image as men’s traditional wear. It can be expected to be used for many years regardless of trends.
