Special feature on striped suits! Introducing the types of patterns and the impressions they give when worn by men for business and weddings.

Striped suits come in many variations! Pick up how to wear them by pattern type

Striped suit pattern type (1) “Single stripe

Single stripes are characterized by a single thin stripe of the same thickness placed at the same interval. It is also called “Daimi Jima,” and many people probably think of this type of stripe when they hear the word “stripe. In a business suit, you want to choose a less conspicuous design in the same color. A corded-lane-like design like the one worn by the gentleman here can easily be used for a slightly broken-down style such as cool biz or suit-and-sneakers coordination.

Striped suit pattern type 2: “Chalk stripe

The chalk stripe, so named because it looks as if chalk stripes have been drawn on it. This striped suit is recommended for those who want to create a sense of trust, dignity, and strength. It is also a great point that it goes surprisingly well with knit ties, full-brogue shoes, sneakers, and other casual items. There is a wide selection of products from various brands.

Striped suit pattern type (3) “Pencil stripe

Pencil stripes bring a sharp outline to suit styles. The lines, which are thinner than chalk stripes and look as if they were drawn with a pencil, create a stylish atmosphere. It is interesting to note that even suits based on earthy colors such as colonial colors, as shown in the outfits picked up below, can be finished with a somewhat sophisticated atmosphere.

Striped suit pattern type④ “Pinstripe

Stripes with a series of small dots are called pinstripes. Because the lines are finer and more delicate than pencil stripes, pinstripes are recommended when you want to add a subtle accent to your suit style. Since it can easily be used as a business suit, it is also ideal for those who have a plain suit in their wardrobe and are thinking of trying a striped suit for the first time as a second suit.
