Converse has announced the opening of “White atelier BY CONVERSE” in Harajuku, Tokyo, on July 17, 2015. The first floor will feature a wide variety of goods, including original sneakers that are only available at White atelier BY CONVERSE worldwide. The first basement floor is a customizable space that is even more noteworthy. Customers can choose from a variety of customization options, such as printing their favorite patterns or text on plain white All-Stars, or attaching vintage-style laces or “Brooklyn Charm” shoe parts from New York, to create their own unique pair of All-Stars.
Collaborations with domestic and international creators and customization workshops are also planned for the future. To celebrate the opening of the store, sneakers customized by Ed Tsuwaki (illustrator), Reika Yoshida (life director), KiNG (designer & artist), and Hoshi Mori (model) will be sold by lottery.
