The “Custom Patch Project” is based on BEAT GENERATION’s “unique style
From the 50s to the 60s, an era that celebrated shining individuality led by people known as the BEAT GENERATION. British bikers wore patches and pin badges on their jackets, inspired by the rocker style, and formed an iconic and original fashion style. The style that did not follow the latest fashions was the “fashionable” style of the youth of the time. This style, which did not follow trends, gained enthusiastic support from the youth culture of the time. It was truly a time when “being different” was cool. Today, while accepting popular culture, people are diversifying and seeking an identity that goes beyond the concept of individuality and proves one’s existence. Tattoos and nail art may be one way of expressing one’s existence. It is against this backdrop that Belstaff’s “Custom Patch Project” seems to have started.
