Rocky Mountain Featherbed × Nigel Cabourn①MP MOUNTAIN CAMO

A classic design loved for over 40 years. Designed in England by Nigel, Rocky Mountain Featherbed’s famous MP jacket has the iconic single-piece leather yoke dyed in tannin and chrome. The tannin retains the natural texture of the leather, while the chrome is a finish that increases durability. To further increase the durability of the sleeves, leather elbow patches are placed at the elbows. The body is made of Harry Stevenson’s hybrid cotton fabric with a mountain camo pattern digitally printed on it. The fabric has a slightly matte finish, which not only protects against rain, snow, and wind, but also allows sweat and other unpleasant moisture inside to escape. The high collar offers wind protection, and the hood is made of Packaway nylon. Chest pocket with diagonal zipper opening. The waist pocket is double-layered and can be used as a hand warmer by inserting the hand from the side. The large zippered pocket on the back of the jacket is a classic mountain parka design feature, a design detail designed to reduce the number of times a large map needs to be folded and to reduce paper deterioration.

This multi-tonal paneled jacket is made of Harry Stevenson’s hybrid cotton fabric and mixes four beautiful colors. The high collar, chest pocket, and back of the jacket have similar design details and material features to the same specifications. The hood, waist, and hem are adjustable with drawcords, and there is an interior zippered pocket for valuables.

The Rocky Mountain Featherbed Ranch Coat offers overcoat-like protection in inclement weather. Redesigned from vintage by Nigel Cabourn, this ranch coat has been rearranged with leather pockets. The iconic one-piece leather yoke and pockets are made of washable leather to match the body of the coat. The lining of the jacket consists of a designed printed camo pattern and nylon drop lining. Originally developed for horse riders, this ranch coat also faithfully reproduces the classic detail of straddling a horse by using dot buttons to make the hem look like pants.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed × Nigel Cabourn④DOWN VEST MOUNTAIN CAMO

The lineup of this collection includes a down vest with a one-piece leather yoke, which is so iconic that “Rocky Mountain Featherbed is known for this. The iconic design of the Rocky Mountain Featherbed is retained, while Nigel Kevon’s signature fabric sense is utilized to create a special down vest. The water-repellent European down has excellent heat retention properties and is made of 90% down, 10% feathers, and 700 fill power. Normally, down loses its warmth when it gets wet, but by applying a water-repellent finish to the down itself, it maintains its warmth even in bad weather.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed x Nigel Cabourn⑤DSS 1969

The DSS (Down Short Shell) is based on a rare vintage Rocky Mountain Featherbed from the 1970s. It has a unique neck structure and a distinctive design that can be converted into a stand collar by fastening the snap buttons. The outer fabric and lining are made of original 70 denier nylon taffeta, which was reproduced by researching vintage nylon taffeta. Rocky Mountain Featherbed × Nigel Cabourn⑥DOWN VEST CLIP

A fresh design of down vest without the brand’s iconic single leather yoke. The metal hook on the front is known as a fireman’s clip, a detail originally used by crew members engaged in deck duty on ships. A down vest incorporating such a detail can be said to be a down vest unique to the two designers, both of whom have a deep knowledge of military vintage. The nylon fabric and down material are the same as other models.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed × Nigel Cabourn⑦STAND UP PANTS

These pants are made from beautifully washed Japanese canvas fabric and are tough enough to stand up to years of use. Although not found in the vintage archives, these easy pants are reinforced with leather in areas prone to wear and tear when riding or working on horseback. The leather patches on the front serve to protect the areas that show the damage seen in the workwear style. This reinforced leather is also washable leather. The drawcords have a yellow base with navy thin lines, the same color scheme as the cords used in down jackets and vests for hanging collars.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed × Nigel Cabourn⑧W CHRISTY JACKET

The Christy Jacket is the masterpiece of Rocky Mountain Featherbed. Inspired by a particularly rare women’s version, this model is the only down jacket for women in this collection. The leather yoke retains its natural look and feel, but is made durable with chrome and finished with a rounded cut for women. Nigel Kevon was inspired by the short sheepskin jackets worn in the 1940s and arranged this item with the addition of pockets. The outer fabric and lining are made of 70 denier nylon taffeta, a lightweight, warm-insulating three-layer material, an original material that was created by researching and reproducing vintage nylon taffeta. The down has excellent heat retention properties and is made of 90% down, 10% feathers, and 700 fill power. Normally, down loses its warmth when it gets wet, but by applying a water-repellent finish to the down material itself, this functional item maintains its warmth even in bad weather.
