At Milan Design Week (Milano Salone) 2024, held April 16-21, Valextra, Italy’s leading and finest leather brand, unveiled its new project, ” Valextra Vocavolario. The overall project, consisting of radical architectural interventions, cutting-edge bag development, and tailor-made repair and restoration services, will be developed in cooperation with the Bergamo-based design firm Studio Temp.

Valextra presents the centerpiece and masterpiece of the project, the 3D printed “Iside Onda” handbag, where Onda means “wave” in Italian, combining 3D printing technology, research into new materials, and traditional leather techniques. This machine-made wonder surface takes advantage of the stretchiness of cornstarch filaments and other renewable organic materials to achieve a wavy stripe pattern.

In addition to ISIDE ONDA, Valextra has also launched the “Vocavolario Proj Project” code to its progressive products, Valextra also introduces a new unisex capsule collection in recycled nylon, ” Assoluto “, which preserves the brand’s style and craftsmanship traditions since 1937, but with modern technological research. This collection is a high-performance luxury series designed with all-black econyl threads and sophisticated monochrome hardware. The “VALEXTRA SPA” at the Valextra flagship store
The flagship store on Via Manzoni in Milan has installed a ” Valextra Spa,” an installation of leather goods repair services exclusively for customers. The Valextra Spa represents an installation of professional cleaning, repair, buffing, and re-painting services of Valextra’s signature black costa edging on the cova (cross-section of the hide). And in partnership with Studio Tempe, a limited edition Valextra spa merchandise was presented, including terry cloth towels, satin eye masks, and laser-cut aluminum trays.
