JINS” will launch the second edition of “JINS x Snow Peak” sunglasses, a collaboration with outdoor manufacturer Snow Peak, on June 15, 2023 (Thursday). In addition, from July 15 (Sat.) to 17 (Mon.), “JINS campsite stores” will open at four Snow Peak campsites across Japan to convey the appeal of sunglasses x camping.

JINS x Snow Peak” was born out of a desire to “popularize sunglasses in Japan’s outdoor scene” in response to the issue of people not being able to fully enjoy the wonderful scenery of the outdoors due to glare. The first installment, with the theme of “eyewear that transforms the sun’s rays from something to be prevented to something to be enjoyed,” received a response that exceeded all expectations. The second phase of the series will feature a lineup of eyewear that allows users to choose the most suitable functionality for their outdoor activities, such as solo camping and glamping, which are becoming increasingly diversified.

Two new products with a casual yet sophisticated design that can also be used in town
The first is the “JINS x Snow Peak JINS Switch Combination Titanium,” which uses titanium for the temples and stainless steel for the front part. The second is “JINS x Snow Peak JINS Switch Day & Night,” which allows users to switch between polarized and high contrast lens plates on the frame. It can be used for daytime camping as well as nighttime driving to maintain comfortable vision according to the time of day.

The popular sunglasses from the previous collaboration have evolved! Glass cords made from tent rope are also newly available!
The series that was particularly popular in the first collaboration has evolved and is now available again. The “JINS x Snow Peak JINS Switch Flip Up,” which can be switched from glasses to sunglasses by detaching and flipping up the plate, now includes drive lenses. The “JINS x Snow Peak Rubber SUNGLASSES,” which are designed with all-rubber construction and can be played with to the fullest in active scenes, have evolved to polarized lenses and a new Wellington type has been added in addition to the Boston type. The case for carrying the included sunglasses and eyeglass wipes are embossed with the Snow Peak logo. In addition, “JINS x Snow Peak GLASS CODE,” a glass cord made of tent rope used for Snow Peak products, will also be available.
JINS Campsite Opens for a Limited Time with Staff Promoting the Appeal of Sunglasses x Camping!
From July 15 (Sat.) to 17 (Mon.), 2023, JINS employees who enjoy camping wearing sunglasses will stay at four Snow Peak campgrounds nationwide. While spending the same time as the campers there, they will convey the appeal of sunglasses x camping and sell “JINS x Snow Peak” in tents from sunrise to sunset.
