The Pelican Hotel, located in the preeminent Miami South Beach location, has completed a complete renovation and reopened on November 24, 2022.The 1950s Art Deco oceanfront hotel offers movie-themed rooms and a sophisticated lifestyle and cuisine for a special experience.

Historic Art Deco luxury hotel located on Miami’s Ocean Drive overlooking the Atlantic Ocean

Built in 1948, the Pelican Hotel was purchased by Diesel founder Renzo Rosso in 1990. The renovations have been decorated and designed by Mr. Renzo and the brand’s creative team. Focusing on the energetic design of contemporary fashion and culture, the hotel has been meticulously restored to create a boutique hotel that blends Miami style with a dreamy ambiance, with 32 rooms, including seven suites, six with ocean views, and one ultra-luxury penthouse, all with a private balcony and a private balcony. Playful designs are incorporated throughout the guest rooms.

One-of-a-kind, original vintage artifacts and furnishings make the hotel an iconic Art Deco property, and each room has its own theme inspired by a movie set. Diesel denim “Old Glory,” nature-inspired “Green Boo,” and the James Bond-like “Penthouse One,” where Renzo typically stays. The largest private terrace on Ocean Drive offers unparalleled ocean views. Various vintage pieces from the ’30s to the ’90s from flea markets around the world, as well as specially acquired antique pieces like Italian architect Antonio Citterio’s 1988 black-seat sofa in the ” Lust in Space” room. The hotel also features a fascinating combination of antiques and modern design, such as the Hungry and Short Wave chairs by Diesel Living’s latest design in the indoor dining room of the Pelican Cafe.

The Pelican Hotel was one of the first and most important boutique hotels in the world.” A meticulous restoration was undertaken by my son Andrea, preserving its original spirit and the uniqueness of its authentic Deco furnishings. Each room creates the perfect backdrop for a new adventure. The Pelican Hotel is the cornerstone of Ocean Drive and will always lead the way with its one-of-a-kind style,” says Renzo. Inside, the ” Pelican Café ” was designed by Renzo’s son, Andrea Rosso, and the cozy restaurant is led by South Beach’s most revered Italian chef, Wendy Cacciatori, who is also a member of the hotel’s board of directors. With indoor and outdoor seating with beachfront views, the restaurant can be enjoyed all day long for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night cocktails.

The bar has a special wine list featuring Diesel Farm wines and other fine Italian wines from north to south, as well as Italian spumante and French champagne. Beach access with food and drink delivery service to both guest rooms and the beach, a 24-hour concierge, every thoughtful amenity, and an outstanding location within walking distance of fine dining and shopping. Offering an unconventional approach, the Pelican Hotel is a dynamic meeting place where lifestyle and creativity meet.
