SOMA SHIMOKITAZAWA to hold pop-up store featuring rare vintage Converse!

SOMA SHIMOKITAZAWA, a Shimokitazawa-based vintage sneaker specialty store, will hold a pop-up store at White atelier BY CONVERSE’s Harajuku store for five days from September 15 (Thu) to 19 (Mon). Converse vintage sneakers imported directly from all over the world will be gathered.

SOMA handles a wide variety of vintage sneakers directly imported from all over the world. Last year in 2021, Soma released the collaborative model “PRO LEATHER VTG SUEDE OX” from the “TimeLine” series, which faithfully reproduces Converse’s popular archives. The new pair is a reproduction of the 1976 model, but in a black and gray multi-colored arrangement. The pop-up store will feature a new selection of Converse by owner Katsufumi Tokunaga, who is also a huge fan of vintage sneakers, focusing on Chuck Taylor, JACK PURCELL, ONE STAR, and other models from the 70s to the 90s. The lineup will also include unused items and items with boxes. Mr. Tokunaga, who is well versed in vintage sneakers, will be in the store all day long during the period.
