On Friday, April 15, Paraboot will open the “Paraboot Marunouchi Store” at Nijubashi Square in Marunouchi, Tokyo. To commemorate the opening, the store will release a limited edition loafer model, the “CORAUX RAID.

Founded in 1908, the traditional French shoe manufacturer Paraboot is one of the few companies in the world that manufactures its own shoes, even down to the outsoles. Its high quality and comfort have made it a favorite around the world for more than 100 years since its establishment. The Marunouchi store, which will open this spring in April, incorporates the warm atmosphere of the Paris Saint Germain store and the modern ambience of the SAINT HONORE store in its interior. The basic concept of the new store is a design that reconstructs the brand’s long history and present.

The furniture in the store was made for Paraboot by craftsmen from a small furniture workshop located near the group’s headquarters. These pieces of furniture were imported when the first Paraboot store in Japan opened in 2001.

And now, the “Corot Raid,” a commemorative model for the Marunouchi store’s opening, is a thick-soled version of the classic Corot deck loafer. In contrast to the Corot’s flat marine sole, this model adopts a voluminous lug sole type Raid sole. The upper is made of soft shrink-processed leather with an unlined finish for outstanding comfort. The simple, sophisticated bi-color design is easy to style and is recommended for the upcoming season.
