A collaborative collection created by the late Virgil Abloh before his death. Speaker cum radio and apparel items.
Off-White™ and Teenage Engineering, the world’s premier manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, have collaborated to develop the ” OB-4 Off-White™,” a vivid orange wireless speaker and radio in one package. In addition to radio playback, the OB-4 Off-White™ is equipped with a “Disc Mode” function that allows the user to record radio playback and add three different types of sound to it. The “Ambient” function allows slow playback of recorded radio sounds, the “Karma” function plays 30 spiritual environmental sounds (mantras), and the metronome can change the playback speed from tempo 1 to 800. For this collaborative model, the late Virgil Abloh added the sound of Gyil played by Ghanaian musician SK Kakraba, a traditional Ghanaian xylophone with a unique sound that is played on 14 wooden xylophones using a rubber mallet. The speaker and radio also comes in a collaborative bag with a shoulder strap customized for this speaker and radio.
The apparel collection includes orange and white t-shirts and hoodies that symbolize the collaboration, as well as bomber jackets and cargo pants that can be set up. The designs are artistic and unique to both brands.
