The full picture of the collaborative collection, the first tag-team collaboration between A BATHING APE® and New Balance, has finally been unveiled. The collaboration collection, which has been the talk of the town since its partial visual release in March of this year, features the much-talked-about “2002R” model from New Balance, which was reissued last year, as well as four types of apparel. The design of the collection is a combination of the sporty elements of New Balance and the military culture genes of Vape®.

New Balance’s most popular model “2002R” with Bape®’s signature design
The “2002R” model chosen for this collaboration is one of New Balance’s most popular models, which was reissued in 2020. The 2002R is available in two color schemes: a combination of Bape®’s signature green “ABC CAMO” and black, and a combination of New Balance’s iconic gray tones.
The “2002R” is constructed of suede, nubuck, man-made leather, and mesh, with a cushioned EVA midsole and abrasion-resistant rubber outsole. The mesh portion of the shoe features Bape®’s signature “ABC CAMO” design, while the heel is embellished with the Bape® shark design.
In addition, the vape® shark design, the “2002R” shoe style, and the logo label on the shoe tongue are made of 3M Reflect®, giving the collaboration a distinctive street-style finish.
