The title of the campaign, which means “fake smile” in Japanese, is said to be an exaggeration. Fake Smiles” leads Diesel’s slogan, “For Successful Living,” in our constant pursuit of happiness. The campaign images feature models in everyday situations with “fake smiles” and expressions that are more fun than necessary. The images evoke a nostalgic mood, creating an unrealistic image that expresses the spirit of the era that inspired the collection.
