Tumi’s ” ALPHA 3 ” collection now available in Japan-only colors

Alpha 3, Tumi’s collection for the next generation of intelligent travel, was revamped this January, and is now available in the Japan-exclusive “Black x Navy” colorway. The collection will be available in four styles in March 2019 at Tumi stores nationwide in Japan and on the official website!

Tumi first introduced the ballistic nylon travel bag, which has now become the brand’s signature material, in 1983. Originally used in military equipment during World War II to protect against metal fragments from bombs and bullets, Tumi revolutionized the travel bag market by using this material in bags and luggage that could withstand travel. The Alpha collection has evolved since its debut and embodies everything that Tumi stands for: innovative design, functionality, and performance. The Alpha 3 is the result of Tumi’s longstanding knowledge and experience.

The Alpha 3 is available in four styles, including a Japan-exclusive three-way brief in the Japan-exclusive “Black and Navy” colorway. All styles are made of Tumi’s proprietary ” FXT® Ballistic Nylon ” material and boast impressive durability. While the royal black is the base color, navy is used throughout, including the lining, monogram patch, ID tag, and front rain flap. It creates a classic yet modern atmosphere.
