The look of pants differs greatly depending on the pocket specifications. In general, pants with slant pockets in the front and ball-rimmed pockets in the back are called “slacks,” while pants with curved front pockets and out pockets in the back are called “five-pocket pants.

Tailored Pants Highlights/Detail 4 “Pleat and Tuck Detail”
This is one of the pant details that is gaining attention with the return of the classic. This is a fitted detail applied at the waist, and is generally referred to as ” pleats ” when it is incorporated into the waist of slacks. This detail adds room around the waist, giving the pants an elegant look. Pants with a more casual look, in which the center crease does not continue from the beginning of the fringes to the hem, are sometimes called ” tucks.
Pleats” are the perfect way to incorporate a classic design. At the most recent Pitti Uomo, pleated pants were seen in many outfits.
