I have a light wool coat for fall and a cotton typewriter fabric coat for both spring and fall. The wool coat makes me sweat when I wear it in the spring, but I like the versatility of cotton-based clothing, which can be worn in basically any season. Autumn and spring are short, but coats are expensive because they are long items that use a lot of fabric. For this reason, it is not unusual to hear people hesitate to buy coats exclusively for the short fall and spring seasons. In such cases, why not choose items with a focus on value for money? For example, a trench coat with a removable wool liner. This gives you a great value for money, as you can wear the trench coat alone in the fall and spring, and add the liner in the winter to increase its thermal protection.
