Suits” and “caps” will be in fashion this fall!

In the past few years, dress styles have become more casual, and all kinds of outfits have been accepted. In particular, the suit style with “sneakers” and “T-shirts” has become the standard. Even in the business world, wearing sneakers with a suit to work has been accepted, increasing the freedom of dressing. And this year, the “cap” style is finally beginning to attract attention.

What are the three points in common between the latest “suit” and “cap” styles?

Pitti Uomo, the Italian men’s fashion fair, is known as the place where experts in suit dressing gather. Point 1: “Keep the coordinate to three colors or less!

It is known as a basic fashion principle to limit the number of colors in a coordinate. While this is a matter of course, it is also important in the “suit” × “cap” look. Most of the coordination that I personally think is stylish was based on the basic suit colors of navy, gray, black, brown, and khaki (olive green), with the entire outfit in three colors or less. Advanced wearers may dare to add a splash of color to their caps and sneakers, as in the snap below.

Point 2: “A moderately loose fit

Since the cap coordinate gives a sporty impression, the trick is to wear a suit with a moderately loose fit that is easy to move around in to keep the overall look balanced. A slightly oversized suit that is less than loose-fitting is the target.

I think caps go well with Italian suits, which are lightweight with minimal interlining, and American sack suits, which have a boxy silhouette. I have the impression that English tailored suits, which have a sense of construction like armor, are likely to be bothered by a sense of tininess in taste when it comes to matching caps.

When wearing a cap with a suit outfit, it is recommended to wear a cap with a deep front. The style that hides your eyes when you lightly turn your head back creates a cool and stoic atmosphere.

Also, if you interpret classic feeling as old and nostalgic style, I think it is also possible to dare to take in a flange-bent cap with a washed-out vintage look.
