Paraboot's "MICHAEL" began with a special order from Hermes! Introducing the charm of the famous Tyrolean shoes

From Hermes special order to classic model! Paraboot’s longtime seller ” MICHAEL “.

The Mikael is the longest-selling pair of items produced by Paraboot. It is said that it first appeared more than 70 years ago, when Hermes placed a special order to Paraboot for its production. The Mikhael was born in 1945, the same year as the end of World War II and the birth of the grandson of the company’s founder, Remy Richard Ponvert. The model’s name “Michael” is derived from the name of the founder’s grandson, Michel Richard Ponvert, who is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors (Michael is the Latin reading of Michel).

The original shoes are Tyrolean or Tyrolean dancing shoes, which are shoes of a mountain tribe, and all the elements of design and manufacturing methods are incorporated into the brand. The shoes are made of squirrel leather, which has a higher oil content than regular calf leather, and the Norwegian manufacturing process gives them water repellency and robustness comparable to mountaineering shoes. The insole is made of high quality cork with excellent breathability, and the more you wear them, the more they conform to the shape of your feet. The sole, made of natural rubber, has deep grooves and grips the ground well, even on rough terrain, so that walking for long hours is not a chore.

Micahel” is the most popular model in France, the home country of Paraboot

The bold mocca and chunky toe give volume to the foot, so they can be worn with any length and width of pants, and can be coordinated with a wide range of styles, from jacket styles to military and sporting outfits. Because of their high level of both design and functionality, they were and still are the number one selling Paraboot in France among all Paraboot products. In Japan, they are second only to the U-tip Chambord in popularity.

Because of their unique design with various features, they are useful as town shoes, although they are not suitable for business shoes. They are not as casual as sneakers and not too formal as cap-toe or plain-toe shoes, but have an exquisite sense of balance. They are also functional enough for light mountaineering. Although they are leather shoes, they do not give a pretentious impression, so they are sure to come in handy as an item to add a touch of sophistication to jacket styles.

A white T-shirt and black denim with cut-off hems add an accent to the feet. The rough black denim cut off to ankle length goes well with the casual leather shoes, “Mikael” by Paraboots.
