The Mikael was originally made for outdoor use, with features suitable for life in mountainous regions such as the Alps, and is characterized by its excellent waterproofing and robustness, despite being leather shoes. In addition, outdoor shoes are generally associated with a rugged image with a sturdy sole, but Mikael has a charming form that evokes the warmth of handmade products. The U-shaped moccasin stitching with coarse stitchwork on the thick leather upper has an outstanding presence. By employing a thicker thread than that used for ordinary dress shoes, a rustic yet tasteful atmosphere is created.
