“Philosophy Reborn” reinterprets successive models The “CLEAR REMIX” series is the fifth in the 40th anniversary series based on the concept of “Philosophy Reborn. By employing skeleton parts for each of the case, band, LCD, and buttons, the series sublimates successive generations of models into designs with an unprecedented sense of transparency. The use of transparent glass fiber diamide, the first material used in the G-SHOCK series, is also a key point not to be overlooked. The case back is engraved with the 40th anniversary logo by Eric Hayes, who has been responsible for the G-Shock 25th and subsequent anniversary logos, and the special G-Shock “G” packaging and outer box are made of recycled paper and vegetable ink to ensure environmental friendliness. DW-6940RX-7JR” with an attractive mechanical design
The “DW-6940” features a front button and a skeleton LCD, giving it an appealing mechanical design that allows even the circuit board to show through. By also using skeleton resin for the dials that make up the three iconic indicators, the circuit board can be extensively peeked through in this design. This is achieved by laying a transparent part called a “light guide plate” on the LED backlight structure and projecting LED light of higher luminance than usual from the side. This makes the LCD skeletonized, and the circuit board is shown up when the light is turned on. The metal cover of the LSI (large-scale integrated circuit) located in the center is IP coated and laser-engraved with four stars to commemorate the 40th anniversary, another detail that cannot be overlooked.

GA-2140RX-7AJR” with skeleton resin used in the smallest details
The “GA-2140RX-7AJR” uses skeleton resin for the entire dial, allowing some of the modules to show through. The black color on the back of the dial prevents outside light from entering the dial, which can cause malfunctions, and also serves as a design accent. Skeleton resin is also used for the indexes and the bezel, creating an exquisite three-dimensional effect that is unlike anything seen on previous G-Shock models. At the 3 o’clock position on the dial, four stars are engraved to celebrate the anniversary. A women’s model using the same design is also available and can be worn by a pair.

Widely known overseas, the mysterious “Ninja” is a symbol of Japan. This unique model is based on the popular “GA-2100” motif. Based on the popular “GA-2100,” it has a gray skeleton band that is reminiscent of the “kemuri no ninjutsu” (ninja techniques said to be used by the ninja), and the bezel is hot-stamped with a lattice pattern based on “chain mail,” a type of armor-style protective gear, to represent the “katon no jutsu,” a ninja technique used by the ninja. In addition, the “shuriken,” a flying tool said to have been used by the ninja, is used on the dial, the yukan, and the back of the watch.
