The 1953 model introduced here actually has a history of being discontinued several times. At that time, as a replacement, the specifications were varied, such as “Jordan,” which kept the horsebit loafer design but eliminated the saddle to create a slender silhouette, and “Brixton,” which made it possible to wear them in a mule-like style by eliminating the saddle as well as the heel core. The “Brixton”, for example, enabled the wearer to wear the shoes in a mule-like style by omitting the heel core in addition to the saddle. However, the “1953” model was so popular that there were constant requests for its re-release. With this background, it was re-released and reissued in 2013, the 60th anniversary year of the brand.
