The one-piece leather upper creates a different kind of presence! AIR MAX1 ULTRA MOIRE

The Air Max 1 Ultra Moire, released in 2015, is the most drastically redesigned edition of the Air Max 1 series and can be considered a complete revamp of the original model. The upper is a one-piece synthetic leather construction. The upper is made of one-piece synthetic leather with laser-cut ventilation holes for a comfortable fit. The sole is made of hollow Ultra construction to reduce weight and enhance flexibility, so it does not give a heavy impression.

The lightweight upper allows for light footwork! AIR MAX 1 ULTRA ESSENTIAL

Based on the Air Max 1 Ultra Moire design, the Air Max 1 Ultra Essential was also released in 2015. Like its predecessor, it features a hollow Ultra construction. The upper is seamless and lightweight in construction for simplicity. Ventilation holes throughout and a mesh lining combine to allow for a more comfortable fit.

The lightest model in the series with a knit upper “AIR MAX1 ULTRA FLYKNIT

In 2017, some 30 years after the birth of the first model, which mainly featured a canvas upper, the Air Max 1 achieved its lightest weight ever by incorporating the independently developed “Nike Flyknit” (Nike Flyknit). Designed by Ben Yoon, the design not only simply introduces a knit upper, but also provides a unique finish with meticulous attention to detail, sharp design, and a sense of originality. It is amazing that the design was adjusted pixel by pixel to reproduce the original design of the Air Max 1 on Flyknit.

To accommodate the lightweight upper with pixel graphics, the sole unit also features lightweight technology. All unnecessary materials were eliminated, and most of the rubber was removed so that the visible air could be clearly seen. By minimizing the amount of rubber and using Ultra technology in the sole, the lightest sole in the series’ history is achieved, while at the same time ensuring excellent flexibility. The result is a masterpiece of both design and function.
