Onitsuka Tiger’s standard model (6) ” California 78 EX (CALIFORNIA 78 EX)
Released in 1978, this model is a representative work of jogging shoes that helped fuel Japan’s jogging boom in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It features a reflector (retroreflective material) on the heel for visibility when running at night. The design has been gradually updated to improve comfort. The insole of the current model, by adopting the Ortholai, cushioning when putting the foot in the foot is up. The sole shape with a zigzag feel is also distinctive.

Onitsuka Tiger’s classic model (7) “Lawnship (LAWNSHIP)
The “LAWNSHIP” model is based on the “Lawnship 30” tennis shoes released in 1974. The design of the heel patch expresses a sense of fun in tennis shoes, which at the time were basically white. The monotone enamel material used to accentuate the design was a key point. The ventilation holes on the side to reduce foot steam are also a feature.

Onitsuka Tiger’s standard model (9) ” MEXICO 66 SLIP-ON
The model that changed the standard model Mexico 66 to the slip-on specification is also quite popular. The laces are removed and an elastic band is built into the instep to enhance the fit. Since the laces cannot be adjusted, there have been instances where the width has been pre-designed to be narrow and the foot feels tight, so it is recommended to choose one size larger than normal.
