Background to the development of DISM's new hair care seriesSkinification
Since its birth in 2021, DISM has been developing skin care items to address the skin concerns of men. This time, we focused on the concept of “skinification,” a trendy word in recent years. The literal translation of the word is ” skinification,” and in this case, it refers to caring for the scalp using the same concepts, ingredients, and methods as for the skin on the face. Since the scalp and face are connected, it is believed that scalp care also affects the impression of the face. In general, men’s scalps tend to be harder than women’s because men’s scalps contain more sebum and are more prone to clogged pores. A survey conducted by Amphur* shows that about 30% of men feel stiffness and stiffness in their scalp, and 40% of them are concerned that this can lead to sagging of the facial line and lines. The new “DISM Skincare & Lift Shampoo” is a “shampoo that removes sebum and dirt while moisturizing the scalp and hair. DISM Skin Care & Lift Shampoo” uses “DISM Amino Cleanse “*1 to moisturize the scalp and hair while refreshingly removing sebum and dirt. It envelopes the scalp with fine-grained, voluminous and elastic foam. The “DISM Skincare & Lift Treatment Pack” is designed to pack the scalp with a dense texture that is highly adhesive and addresses scalp problems. It also contains a heat-protecting ingredient (γ-docosalactone )*2 that makes the heat from the hair dryer an ally in beautifying the hair surface. Carnosine*3, an ingredient common to the DISM Basic Care Series, is included as a common ingredient in the shampoo and treatment pack, and prepares the scalp for a soft scalp where ingredients can easily penetrate to the stratum corneum. It also contains penetration*4 type W retinol capsules*5. In particular, the treatment pack is blended in like a pack for 3 minutes, allowing the nano-encapsulated retinol*4 to quickly and deeply penetrate into the stratum corneum, leading to a firmer impression while maintaining moisture. The long-lasting bergamot green fragrance, like a perfume, creates a clean, fresh, and elegant look.

The method, which makes use of DISM’s hair care products more effectively, was supervised by Hisako Takami, a leading researcher on anatomy and facial muscles, as mentioned above. According to Takami, aging skin is not the only cause of a sagging face. The main causes are changes in “subcutaneous fat,” “muscles,” and “subcutaneous tissue” under the skin. Unlike other muscles in the body that are connected to the bones, the muscles of the face (facial muscles) have no connection to the bones and stop at the skin. Therefore, when the SMAS (a collection of shallow facial muscles and subcutaneous tissue, like a unit connecting the skin) flexes or loses fat, the effect is immediately visible on the surface of the face. Since the SMAS is connected to the scalp and neck, it can be expected to lift the face by taking care of it.
