Q. 1 What does sunscreen mean to you?
Horime: ” Sunscreen is essential for conditioning for practices and games played under the hot sun. I especially like Anessa because it feels smooth and comfortable, so I can skate as hard as I can anytime.”
Q2: As an athlete, how do you deal with the sun and sunburn?
Horime: “Strong sunlight can affect my condition, and sunburn can affect my performance and recovery, so I make sure to take good care of myself. Skateboarding requires continuous practice every day, and care that doesn’t leave you fatigued the next day.”
Q3: What is your routine during competitions?
Horime: “On the day of the tournament, I stretch and do a light warm-up to wake up my body, while applying sunscreen before going outside to the venue. When I get there, I do some light physical exercise and then reapply Anessa again. I think it is one of the most important preparations to keep my skin in good condition so that I can concentrate on skiing.”
Q4: What are your goals for the future?
Horime: “In 2025, I would like to work hard every day so that I can continue to win titles in the numerous competitions that determine the best in the world in skateboarding street competitions.”
Q5. Please give a message to skaters and people who play sports outside.
Horime: “It feels great to move your body to the fullest outside. For me, there are moments when I feel refreshed and regain my sense of self by moving in nature. However, I often feel the intensity of the sun, so I have become more conscious of UV protection as one way to maintain my condition. I hope people will enjoy sports for a long time while taking proper care of their bodies and skin, and not overdoing it.”

Mr. Horiyone emphasizes that sunscreen is essential for maintaining performance during practice and games under the hot sun. He consciously takes care of his skin while using sunscreen because skin damage from the sun can affect his recovery and condition. Using sunscreen, protecting skin health, and minimizing physical fatigue are, as a result, the secrets to maximum performance in games and practice.
