The “Spey”, Babur’s shortest jacket, was created for fly fishing in rivers, and the functional silhouette for fly fishing, inherited from its debut in the 1980s, matches the recent trend, making it one of Babur’s most popular models. The short-length, wide-fit silhouette of the original is utilized, while the pattern reflects ARKnets’ unique sense of balance. The length has been adjusted to a sophisticated style that can be layered and enjoyed. In addition, the sleeve silhouette can be adjusted by placing two sleeve buttons, which are not on the original, and when the sleeves are rolled up with the buttons open, the original checkered lining, which is representative of Babur, is visible. The back vent, which is not present on the original, is a bold design that is quite deep, opening up to the shoulder blades, ensuring a sufficient range of motion and allowing the silhouette to be changed by opening and closing the two buttons.

D-rings are sized up with plenty of presence! A zippered pocket that completely changes the look of the front is also added!

The D-rings, which are used to hang fly-fishing gear, are a symbolic detail of Spey. The original is attached to the right chest and left waist, but this special order model is placed on the left chest. In addition, the D-ring has been increased in size to give it a greater sense of presence. The waist pocket has a zippered slant pocket on the outside that also has a sense of presence, improving both design and functionality.

The fabric is a mix of Cordura nylon and cotton, a slightly brushed material with a moist feel and subtle sheen. As with the original, underarm ventilation with pigeonholes is provided for ventilation. Also, the chinstrap, which allows the collar to be turned up for extra warmth, and the original Babur zip head and buttons are still in place. The lining has the same original check pattern as the cuffs. It is available in two colors, sage and black.
