What is ‘ ULTRAMAN
ULTRAMAN” is a tokusatsu TV drama that first appeared on TV in 1966, and in 2011, almost half a century later, the comic “ULTRAMAN” (original story: Tsuburaya Productions, Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, serialized in Heroes Monthly) appeared. In “ULTRAMAN,” the world is depicted after Ultraman, the “Giant of Light” who has been protecting the peace of the Earth, has left the planet. The new generation of Ultraman tells a new story in which the son of the former hero appears as a high school student with the concerns of a “life-sized hero. The new worldview opened up by this work has been sympathetic and supported by many young people, and has become a hit, with a total of more than 3 million copies of the comic in print.
