The diverse gimmicks that fuse the three parties’ perspectives – a sports brand, a select store, and a sneaker store – are one-of-a-kind!
This work was inspired by the “IPFU (Improved Physical Fitness Uniform) nylon jacket” that was used in the 90’s as wear to wear when training the U.S. Army, is clad in a gray tonal color. It is clad in a tonal gray color. Reflectors” are used for the piping that accentuates the design for nighttime visibility. The original contrast of materials and parts gives the shoes a unique three-dimensional look.
The upper material is a combination of high-quality “nubuck” and “ripstop nylon” that combines lightweight, breathability, and durability. In addition, practical “functionality” is pursued by installing a “pull strap” on the heel for easy on/off and smooth on/off.
In addition, a “zipper unit” in the shape of the letters “BEAMS” on the left leg of the lace cover with a front zip and “MITA” on the right leg is attached as an option. Furthermore, various gimmicks unique to the collaborative model are included, such as the use of a plain shoe tongue label without a product number.
The “wire mesh” symbolizing the mita sneakers and the asymmetrical store logo are placed on the insole.
The insole features the iconic “wire mesh” of the mita sneakers and, at the request of Shingo Arai, a “Tokyo Custom Made” lettering, meaning that it is officially authorized by “Tokyo Custom Made”. The lettered design of “Tokyo Custom Made” means that it is authorized by Mr. Shingo Arai’s request. Along with the “new balance” logo, the BEAMS store logo on the left foot and the “mita sneakers” store logo on the right foot are also included to prove that this is an official collaboration model.
