Fusing old and new design! Nike’s new footwear label
The three new footwear lines follow Nike’s experimental, pragmatic, problem-solving, and avant-garde attitude. Each has its own groundbreaking design language, and the collections combine old and new silhouettes to express a new, unconventional beauty.
N.354,” a new design born from Nike’s archives
The Department of Nike Archives (DNA), which houses Nike’s historical archives, houses a vast amount of prototypes. The “N.354” footwear design is the result of a new idea that emerged from the collection. The “N.354 DROP-TYPE” has a modest swoosh, subtly placed to blend in with the off-white upper. The calculated coloring, including the blue of the shoe’s tongue and the black of the ankle part, is a perfect match. 8,100 yen (tax included)
THE10TH”, a modern expression of co-founder Bill Bowerman’s roots
Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman once served in the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division, which specialized in mountain and snow warfare. Based on this background, the ” THE10TH ” collection was designed based on the concept of clear practicality and outdoor knowledge. The “THE10TH REACT SERTU” has been sublimated into a new silhouette that incorporates military elements while following Nike’s “React” cushioning technology and other features. 16,200 yen (tax included)
D/MS/X,” a mix of different upper materials and innovative sole units
The ” D/MS/X ” collection seeks inspiration from sports such as urban motocross in order to maintain the edginess that Nike is known for. A remix of old and new silhouettes, the ” D/MS/X SIGNAL ” features a thick, dado-sneaker-like midsole with an avant-garde sole with an edgy midfoot. The combination of different material parts and multi-colors are also innovative. 14,040 yen (tax included)
The “N.354” will be available from June 26, “D/MS/X” from July 13, and “THE10TH” from September 6 at Nike.com, SNKRS, and select NIKE retailers.
