The so-called synthetic leather (synthetic leather) Birkoflor is an original PU leather developed by Birkenstock. The surface is flexible and elastic, with a texture comparable to genuine leather, and the back side is made of fleece fabric. The backside is made of fleece, which is breathable and feels good on the foot, making it less likely to cause shoe sores, which is a common problem with PU leather. There are many variations in texture among Bilco Flow products, including smooth leather style, shrink leather style with a grain (fine wrinkles in leather), and nubuck leather style.

Oiled leather is a material characterized by its unique texture, which is made by infusing oil and wax into leather during the tanning process. When nubuck material is soaked in oil, the hairs are crushed by the oil, creating a texture similar to smooth leather. Since oil tends to accumulate in areas where pressure is applied, regular brushing will allow the material to enjoy a glossy sheen that ordinary smooth leather does not have.

Since oiled leather has a high oil content, brushing is the only basic care required. However, if the leather is to be worn for a long period of time, the oil will be lost, so moderate oil care with shoe cream is necessary. However, if the shoes are to be worn for a long period of time, oil care with shoe cream is necessary in moderation. The most popular color is ” HAVANA ” in brown.
