Panasonic held an event to promote the appeal of self-body grooming.

With the recent rise in men’s beauty consciousness, the men’s grooming market has been booming, with a rapid increase in the number of men grooming their eyebrows, body hair, and underarm hair in addition to their beards. In response to this market trend, Panasonic has launched “Panasonic Men’s Grooming,” a line of body trimmers that offer men a full-body self-grooming routine, and as we previously reported, body trimmers that can easily care for arms, limbs, and even the delicate zone. An event was held in front of Meiji Jingu Shrine on July 1 (Sat.) and 2 (Sun.) to introduce the appeal of self body grooming through hands-on experience with the brand’s body trimmer and Ramdash.

The body trimmer (ER-GK60) has been so popular since its release in May that there is currently a waiting list for its arrival. The product was originally developed to safely and easily take care of the delicate bikini area, but it has been made into an excellent product that can also be used to trim the arms, legs, and chest with a single unit. Another advantage of this product is that it can be washed in water without removing the blades.

On the day of the event, visitors were also able to experience the Ramdash (ES-ST8P), a razor shaver that can shave in the bath, which has held the No. 1 share* in the men’s shaver market for seven years in a row. The wave-shaped “smooth roller” makes it easy to leave lather and provides a gentle shave on the skin. The “Close Swing Head” also features a “Close Swing Head” that adheres closely to the area under the chin and throat area, which are difficult to shave.

Led by a male staff member, the editorial staff also had a chance to try it.

During our interview, a male staff member recommended that we try the shaver, and the editorial staff also tried it. The male staff member said that he actually uses a body trimmer to groom his entire body. It is safe and easy to use, yet it is so beautifully finished. The length of the attachments can be adjusted depending on the area of the body.

The staff member above can smooth out the body like the one above and also adjust the length by using the different attachments that come with the product. The staff of the editorial office also tried it. The leg on the left is before use and the one on the right is after (left image below). As you can see, shortening the length of the hair makes it look thinner.

The event was a great success! Many said the experience sparked their interest in body grooming.

Although the morning of the event was not blessed with good weather due to rain, the event was a great success, and many men on the street tried the body trimmer and the Ramdash. Many couples were also in attendance, and many men were encouraged by their partners to try the machines. Perhaps women who are highly conscious of taking care of their bodies also seek care from their male counterparts.

The men who participated in the event were single-mindedly experiencing the appeal of self-body grooming, making full use of the body trimmer and the Ramdash.

When we interviewed them about their impressions of the experience, they told us:

“If I can take care of myself this easily, I would like to do it on a daily basis. It felt so good that I would like to try body grooming after this experience.” (Company employee/age 32)

“I’m a little uncomfortable with the smoothness, but if it can be as natural and lengthened as this, it’s really nice. I’m glad my boyfriend’s legs look much nicer.” (College Student/22 yrs old)

“I don’t usually take care of my unwanted hair, but if there is a product like this that I can easily take care of when I take a bath, I will want to do it on a regular basis.” (Civil servant/34 yrs old)

Many of the comments were favorable.
