Pioneers in their respective fields collaborate on a dream theme! Two limited edition collaborations, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and the Taikan 4S, commemorate the 40th anniversary of Porsche Italia
Ferragamo and Porsche, as pioneers in their respective fields, realized their dreams and laid the foundation for the brands that continue to this day. Salvatore Ferragamo, the founder of Ferragamo, was known as the “dream shoemaker,” creating custom-made shoes for Hollywood stars before returning to Florence, Italy, in 1927 to carve his spirit into the brand. In the case of Porsche, the “356 “No. 1″ Roadster” manufactured by founder Ferry Porsche in 1948 was the model that introduced the “shape of a dream” to the world as the starting point of the brand. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Porsche Italia, the two brands have collaborated on two dream-themed limited edition models, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and the Taikan 4S. Both models are limited to the Italian market and will be manufactured by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
The collaborative model is designed with Italian sophistication and elegance!
Both the exterior and interior of this collaborative model have been designed in the Ferragamo style. The most distinctive feature is the special blue color named “Blusogno”. This color, which appears slightly purplish in the sunlight, is also used in Ferragamo’s ready-to-wear collection and the ” Hug ” bag, and has a vibrancy that evokes a dream dimension. The exterior features thin white lines that enhance the car’s aerodynamic characteristics, while the interior is imbued with Italian sophistication and elegance, as seen in the white leather piping on the seats. The Brusogno color is woven into the steering wheel, center console, and even the key case, where the leather and Pardao wood are harmonized in every detail. Furthermore, the wheels are also painted in Brusogno color and accented with hand-painted white lines. The Porsche emblem, painted in Ferragamo’s signature red, is a unique feature of this limited edition model.
An exclusive car seat cover in the same color is also included, featuring the FERRAGAMO logo and Porsche crest in white.
Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A., said of the collaboration. When Porsche asked us to participate in this commemorative project, we decided to keep the details as simple and sophisticated as possible, because Porsche is already perfect. When Porsche asked us to participate in this commemorative project, we decided to keep the details as refined and unchanged as possible, because Porsche is already perfect. The idea behind this collaboration was to create a truly meaningful synergy between two iconic brands that share common values of design excellence, craftsmanship, and the courage to innovate. We wanted to tell a story that resonated with the theme of “dreams. My father, Salvatore, was known as the ‘dream shoemaker,’ and Porsche is driven by dreams. Pietro Innocenti, CEO of Porsche Italia, explained how they chose Ferragamo as their collaboration partner for the 40th anniversary. Our dream was to create a one-of-a-kind experience that combined Porsche style with Italian aesthetics, and we chose Ferragamo as the ideal partner to express that spirit that has sustained us for 40 years.
